Information

The Amron International Model 3127 Outside Junction Box is mounted directly to a pressure sealed stainless steel electrical penetrator housing with a brass adapter bushing. The adapter bushing has multiple holes and the junction box has slotted holes permitting the box to be aligned after the penetrator is tight.

As part of Amron's "Easy as 1-2-3 System," Model 3127 Outside Junction Box allows you to set up your chamber communications, auxiliary, and electrical wiring with ease, just as the name implies. This system is a complete "off the shelf", pre-tested chamber communication and wiring system for a double lock chamber. The system is designed for installation by non-electrical type personnel and requires only a crescent wrench and a screwdriver. This eliminates the engineering and hunting for all the bits and pieces necessary to properly wire a chamber.

The Amron International model 3127 Outside Junction Box provides a complete, compact and easy method of connecting chamber communications and auxiliary and electrical wiring for a double lock chamber. Amron recommends using the model 3127 junction box to simplify installation of Amron inner and outer lock communications boxes like the model 3125 Inner-Lock Combo Box and model 3126 Outer-Lock Combo Box.

The model 3127 box is mounted to the exterior wall of a chamber using a 3/4 in. FNPT adapter bushing on the back of the box and a CONAX PL-18-B12-T pressure sealed, stainless steel electrical penetrator. The CONAX penetrator’s 3/4 in. MNPT thread screws into the chamber penetrator. The CONAX adapter on the junction box is mounted to the 3127 box using slotted screw holes so the box can be rotated to align it horizontally or vertically after the CONAX penetrator is screwed into the chamber penetrator.

The included CONAX PL-18-B12-T penetrator provides a 10,000 psig (690 bar) rated chamber wall feedthrough for twelve 18 AWG conductors. The 12 CONAX wires are connected to terminal blocks inside the 3127 junction box which are in turn connected to an MS-3102A-20-27P military style connector on the end of the junction box. The MS connector provides an easy and well-organized method for wire routing outside the chamber.
