AMCOM™ I Single Lock Chamber Communicator - P/N: 2810E-02 Includes

Notice: The 2810E-02 MP3 Audio-Out functions differently between the different chamber speakers available. Below is a list of compatible chamber speakers as well as the listening experience the occupant(s) will have.

Model 3115 Chamber Speaker with On/Off Switch

The Model 3115 Chamber Speaker allows the operator to monitor conversations within the chamber with the speaker wired in 2-Wire mode. There is a speaker on/off switch that allows the occupants to turn off the speaker for private headset conversations. The Model 3115 also feature a headset jack wired in Full-Duplex (4-Wire) mode that allows an occupant to enjoy audio entertainment by using the Model 2460-31R headset along with talking to the chamber operator without the use of the Push-to-Talk Button. This speaker is approved for US Navy chambers.

*Amron recommends the 3115 when using the MP3 Player feature on the 2810E-02 Communicator.

Important Note: The audio entertainment will not be heard from the speaker at any time. Only the occupant using the headset will hear the entertainment from the MP3 circuit.

Model 3113 Living Chamber Speaker

The Model 3113 Chamber Speaker allows the operator to monitor conversations within the chamber with the speaker wired in 2-Wire mode. The Model 3113 also feature a headset jack wired in Full-Duplex (4-Wire) mode that allows an occupant to enjoy audio entertainment by using the Model 2460-31R headset along with talking to the chamber operator without the use of the Push-to-Talk Button.

Important Note: The audio entertainment will not be heard from the speaker at any time. Only the occupant using the headset will hear the entertainment from the MP3 circuit. Also, the music will not cut out when the occupant is speaking with the chamber operator but the occupant’s message will be heard.

The follow chamber speakers can be used with the 2810E-02 communicator but they are not recommend when using the MP3 Player feature.

Model 3110 Remote Two-Way Speaker with Push-to-Talk

The Model 3110 Chamber Speaker includes a push-to-talk switch along with a headset connector. The speaker provides the occupants the ability to listen to audio entertainment either via the speaker and headset. When the occupant(s) want to talk to the operator, the push-to-talk switch on the chamber speaker must be pressed even if the headset is in use.

The Model 3125 features a talk-back speaker with on/off switch and headset jack that operates in the same manner as the Model 3115. It also includes a sound-powered phone with bracket, chamber temperature probe, scrubber power circuit wiring, chamber environmental conditioning unit wiring and electrical penetrator adaptor all together in a single pre-wired, pre-tested housing.

Model 3126 Outer-Lock Combo Box with Sound Powered Phone

Amron’s AMCOM™ I Model 2810E-02 Single Lock Chamber Communicator features excellent sound clarity, an emergency backup battery and MP3 connections. The 2810E-02 Single Lock Chamber Communicator’s state-of-the-art components deliver high quality sound clarity between the operator and chamber. Amron’s AMCOM™ I Single Lock Chamber Communicator features MP3 connections, allowing occupant(s) to listen to music during their treatments (only available in 4-wire mode).

The 2810E-02 is a full-featured communication unit intended for hard-wired installation in a chamber. It is a panel mounted unit with an operating range of 90-264 VAC, 50-60 Hz and includes an internal back-up battery to allow continued operations in the event of a power failure.

The 2810E-02 has independent volume controls, operator and chamber, and an innovative talk-back speaker cut-off feature that improves communications when using the included hand-held microphone. This feature significantly reduces the amount of background noise transmitted into the chamber when the operator talks and, under noisy conditions, can make the difference between unacceptable and good speech clarity.

The 2810E-02 has the capability of 2-wire and/or Full Duplex 4-wire communication modes. 2-Wire and Full Duplex 4-wire modes can be used simultaneously. This enables the user to operate in a hands-free mode, using a headset and communicate between the chamber and operator without having to use the Push-To-Talk Button.

FAQ's
What additional equipment do I need to install my 2810E-2001 / 2810E-02 communicator to my chamber?

You will need the 2810E-2001 / 2810E-02 communicator, shielded 4 conductor 20 awg wire with banana plugs installed on one side, a 4 conductor penetrator, and an internal chamber speaker.

Can I plug my Blu-ray player audio output into the MP3 Player input on the 2810E-2001 / 2810E-02?

Yes, but Amron recommends you use a Ground Loop Isolator inline to isolate the Blu-ray player from the 2810E-2001 or 2810E-02. The Blu-ray player should also be on a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).

Should I use a GFI when operating my radio off AC power?

When operating your Amron Diver Communicator on AC, it is critical to use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or isolation transformer for tender and diver safety. Surges and spikes are common on AC lines found on ships, generated locally, or at the end of long extension cable runs and can exceed 1kVolt. Such surges and spikes can cause the fuse to blow on the amplifier card assembly. The power supply is designed so that such a failure will be isolated and will not cause a safety issue to the tender or divers. It is strongly advised that your Amron Diver Communicator be operated on an AC circuit with a high quality surge arrester or an AC isolation transformer.

What are the environmental parameters that Amron's comms units can be used in?
Temperature: Class C Ambient Temperatures –25°C to +55°C Humidity: Class A Relative humidity up to 96% at all relevant temperatures, no condensation Vibration: Class A On bulkheads, beams, deck, bridge EMC: Class B All locations including bridge and open deck
