TECH NOTE:Amron International’s communications equipment is designed to be used in air chambers where oxygen concentrations remain below 23.5%. Our communications products (including communicators, speakers, entertainment systems, and other communications accessory items) are NOT designed for oxygen service, are not intrinsically safe, and do not meet the criteria given in NFPA-99, Chapter 20 and other applicable definitions. Use of our products in high concentration Oxygen environments may result in serious injury and/or death. ENHANCEMENTS• High Audio Fidelity Ultra-low noise circuit combined with noise suppression circuitry produces crystal clear speech. Automatic gain adjustment will guard audio signal from distortion, enhance speaker protection and audio quality. Increases band width 47%. • Extended Battery Backup Operation Time Audio amplifier card deploys the state-of-the-art Class-D digital audio power amplifier. Has very low power dissipation, produces less heat, and extends battery backup life up to 32%. • Flexible Gain Settings The audio amplifier card has adjustable gain settings to accommodate different communication applications and environments. • Ultra-Low Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) EMI is achieved through spread-spectrum and de-phase control techniques providing for optimum integration with diving systems.

FAQ's
Please refer to the Troubleshooting section of the user manual for battery replacement instructions.
For new panel microphone installation instructions, please refer to the Amron Panel MIC Data Sheet located in the Resources tab.
To determine whether the problem is with the battery or charging circuitry, you will need to verify if the battery is being charged.
Troubleshooting:
- Unplug your communicator and turn on the POWER switch.
- Measure the voltage across the yellow PUSH-TO-TALK (PTT) jack and write down this value for future reference. It should be greater than 9 Volts.
- Plug the communicator into an AC source and verify that the AC POWER LED on the front panel turns on.
- Re-measure the voltage across the PTT jack and note it down for future reference. It should be higher than the previous measurement.
- If the AC POWER LED does not light up when the communicator is plugged in, then check fuse located on the amplifier card.
- Allow the communicator to charge overnight.
- Unplug the communicator and re-measure the voltage across the PTT jack.
- If it is the same or less than the voltage you measured previously, then the charger is broken and the communicator needs to be sent in for repairs
- If the voltage higher than previous measurement but less than 13.5 Volts, then the battery is bad and needs to be replaced.
- If it is greater than 13.5 Volts but it still appears that the battery is not holding a charge, contact Amron for additional support.
