The Amron Model 3112 Bunk Box controls a communication channel and two entertainment channels for an individual bunk station in a saturation (SAT) or hyperbaric chamber. A headset is required but not included. When the comm channel is selected on the audio source select knob, headset comms with the chamber operator are in conference mode (full duplex). The volume knob controls the audio volume for all three channels.

The headset connection on the front panel is a Neutrik style, female, 4-pin audio connector. Amron’s 2401-31R Deluxe Headset and 2460-31R Standard Headset come pre-configured with a Neutrik style 4-pin connector that works directly with the 3112 headset connector.

The Push-to-Call switch functions as a call switch when using Amron’s 3226 Chamber Communications Routing Panel (optional). Momentarily holding the switch activates a call indicator on the 3226 comm routing panel. The 3226 call indicator is both an audio alarm and a visual indicator that identifies the caller's location in the chamber.

Electrical wiring exits the bunk box at the bottom through a 14-pin MS (military style) connector. Included with the 3112 is a separate MS connector that mates with the connector on the bottom of the 3112. This separate MS connector (P/N: MS-3106A-20-27S) comes with a cable clamp (P/N: MS-3057-12A) and strain relief bushing (P/N: MS-3420-12) and provides for organized and easy chamber wiring.

The housing is die cast zinc with epoxy powder coating and a stainless steel front panel. The 3112 can be mounted using the two flanges located on the left and right of the box using 1/4 in. screws.
