More Information

Amron’s Model 3226 Communication Routing Panel provides a complete communications solution for managing and monitoring communications and signaling within a Deck Decompression Chamber (DDC) of a saturation diving system for a maximum of 12 divers. The operator uses the routing panel to interconnect various comm sources within the system and to monitor audible and visual signals sent from any of the comm boxes within the chamber.

Features
  • Twelve bunk station channels, arranged in two chambers, six stations per chamber.
  • Two communication station channels per chamber: One chamber, one entry lock with push to call.
  • Two helium unscrambler channels. Each can be used as primary communication or split for two independent conversations.
  • Two entertainment channels with two audio sources per channel.
  • Audio/visual call indicator for each chamber location.
  • Operator can route private or conference conversation through one helium unscrambler, leaving the other for chamber monitoring.
  • Includes a noise-canceling hand-held microphone for operator.

Amron’s Model 3226 Communication Routing Panel is designed to control communications for a Deck Decompression Chamber (DDC) used within a saturation diving system. The Model 3226 provides for routing of voice and audio signals between dive control and the saturation chambers. It is essentially a switching panel, allowing the operator to identify the origin of a signal and its routing. The operator uses the routing panel to interconnect various comm sources within the system and to monitor audible and visual signals sent from any of the comm boxes within the chamber.

The 3226 allows the operator to manage voice and audio signals to and from individual chamber bunk boxes like Amron’s 3112 Chamber Bunk Box, and general living chamber and entry lock comm boxes such as Amron’s 3110 and 3111 comm boxes, as well as either of Amron’s sound powered phone and headset combo boxes (Model 3125 and 3126) that are used in inner and outer locks. All voice comms originating from any of these comm boxes are routed through Helium Speech Unscramblers (HSU) such as Amron’s 2830R-02 3-Diver Rackmount HSU Communicator for helium speech voice correction. The 3226 comm routing panel also routes entertainment audio (two channels, four sources) from entertainment sources.

Amron’s Model 3226 can service a 12-man or smaller diving complex. The largest serviceable arrangement is two 6-man chambers and two entry locks. The chambers are designated Chamber A and Chamber B. All system input/output interconnects are via the rear panel MS connectors (military standard). See the 3226 user manual for typical chamber and comm box wiring configurations.
