The Amron International Model 2460-28 is a dual-sided medium-weight headset with Dual Banana Plugs and coiled cord that extends up to 6 ft. The 2460-28 headset is designed for extended comfortable "full ear-cup" and features a unique heptagonal design that covers the ear naturally and completely. The ear cushions are not only wide and soft, but slightly thicker to the bottom and rear. Together, these "ergo-formed" shapes are the reason why the 2460-28 headset simply fits better!

How long is the spiral cord on the Amron Standard Headset?

The compressed cord is 20 inches long but can be stretched to roughly 8 ft.

Is the microphone on the Amron Standard Headset a noise-canceling microphone?

No, the microphone installed on the Amron Standard Headset is a standard dynamic microphone. However, the Amron Deluxe Headset offers a noise-canceling microphone.

My newer 2460-28 headset produces feedback when the headset is within two feet of the communicator speaker. My older 2460-28 headset doesn’t produce the same feedback when used in the same scenario. Why?

The older style headset has a 150 ohm microphone and the new style headset has a 90 ohm microphone. The 90 ohm microphone is more sensitive so the user simply needs to turn down the tender microphone volume to compensate for the change in response.

Does this headset comes with a push to talk button attached? or do i need to be within arms reach of the Amron Comm box and use the Push-To-Talk button on the comm box to be able to communicate with the diver?

No. If you want a remote push-to-talk, you would want to purchase Amron's Remote Headset Extension (2-Wire Mode) part number 2821-28. Otherwise, you would need to be near the communicator.
