Amron International’s patented Oxygen Treatment Hood Neck Ring is for use with Amron’s Oxygen Treatment Hood with Optical Viewing Window.
The oblong shaped neck ring is larger than its predecessor, making it much easier for the attendant to place the Amron hoods over the patient’s head (essentially the larger neck ring now has a universal fit where one size fits all patients). The redesigned neck ring now has two square neck seal grooves on it, which provides for a more secure attachment of the neck seal to the neck ring.
The neck ring was developed to withstand multiple cycles in an autoclave, gas sterilized or cleaned using SaniZide disinfectant provided by Amron. The reusable neck ring has a conveniently located multipurpose plug port as well as supply and exhaust hose ports, with an accompanying O-ring seal for the vinyl hood attachment. The supply and exhaust locations allow oxygen to circulate easily through the hood at reduced noise levels.
Notes
- The 8891-15 O-Ring and 8891-25 Multipurpose Plug do not come installed on the 8891-011 Neck Ring. For complete Neck Ring Assembly, please click here - P/N: 8891-07 Neck Ring Assembly.

Amron’s patented Oxygen Treatment Hood Neck Ring is a replacement part for use with Amron’s hood assemblies used to administer gas, oxygen, air, and humidification to a patient during Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).
Amron’s unique, oblong-shaped neck ring opening makes it easy for the hyperbaric treatment center attendant to place the neck ring over a patient’s head. The large neck ring opening essentially provides a universal fit where one size fits all patients. The neck ring has two square neck seal bead grooves that provide for easy and secure attachment of either a silicone or latex neck seals.
The polycarbonate neck ring material can withstand multiple cycles in an autoclave. It can also be cleaned using gas sterilization or using Safetec SaniZide disinfectant recommended by Amron. The neck ring has a conveniently located multipurpose plug port as well as supply and exhaust hose ports, with an accompanying O-ring seal for attachment to the 8891-010 oxygen treatment hood. The supply and exhaust locations allow oxygen to circulate easily through the hood at reduced noise levels.
The hose port outside diameters are 22 mm and work with all standard 22 mm tubing, connectors and filters used in clinical environments. Amron offers a variety of medical tubing and connector accessories that can be connected to the ports.

FAQ's
Yes.
Polycarbonate.
Amron has not performed any testing to determine whether or not you can use this type of process to sterilize our Oxygen Treatment Hood. Amron recommends using SaniZide Plus as a convenient, fast-acting intermediate level germicidal disinfectant, cleaner, and deodorizer.
We only have two methods approved for cleaning.
1) The first is spraying Sanizide and letting the hood sit for 10 minutes.
2) The second is gas sterilization using the method below:
- Low - 4 hours at 100 degrees Fahrenheit with an aeration time of 36 hours
- High - 1 hour at 130 degrees Fahrenheit with an aeration time of 12 hours
Using the gas sterilization will shorten the life of the hood but we have many customers that use it and are very happy with the results.
