The Amron International Model 8330i IMCA Air Control can support three-divers. It is a portable, self-contained, high/low pressure air control with depth monitoring (pneumo) for surface supplied commercial diving operations. It is a central control point for the supply of breathing air to the divers.
This system is designed to supply air for three divers independently and is compliant with IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) guidelines - IMCA D023 DESIGN for Surface Oriented Air Systems.
The 8330i is designed so that each diver has their own high-pressure and low-pressure air supplies independent of, and isolated from, the other divers’ air supplies.
Each diver’s high pressure air supply path is individually regulated by its own regulator. The HP and LP air supplies for each diver have their own ball valves, making it easy to switch to either the HP or LP air supply.
Emergency cross-over valves are included in the design. If any diver’s air supply is lost or compromised, the cross-over valves provide the ability to re-direct the air supply from other divers’ circuits while still maintaining the air supply to all divers.
The 8330i is housed in a durable, pressure-fused fiberglass case that provides a convenient, compact, rugged and professional system. A storage box is built into the pneumo panel.
High Pressure
High pressure air inputs are color coded (red, blue, and green) for ease of identification.
Each input has a 0-6000 psig gauge and shut-off valve to monitor and switch from one high pressure air source to the other.
The added safety feature of check valves provides protection against back flow of air from a full tank into an empty tank when switching high pressure air supply sources.
High pressure air is reduced to low pressure via a pressure reducing regulator with a pre-regulator in-line 50 μm filter.
A relief valve (factory set at 350 psig) prevents over pressurization.
NOTE: High pressure hoses are not included. If HP hoses are required, order P/N: HP3-4FJIC-4FJIC-72 high pressure hoses (6 ft.) or configure HP hoses to your desired length by ordering P/N: HP3-4FJIC-4FJIC-BUNDLE and specifying hose length. Make sure to also add P/N: 9913-02 fill yokes with bleeder valves for each hose ordered.
Low Pressure
Divers air hose connections are O2 fittings, controlled by quarter turn ball valves permitting unrestricted flow. NOTE: O2 fittings can be converted to JIC upon request.
The LP inputs with safety check valves have a #6 JIC fitting and are protected from over pressurization by an over pressure relief valve set at 350 psi.
Pneumo (Depth Monitoring)
The heart of the pneumo system are 3 ea. 6 in. gauges with 0.25% of full scale accuracy and dual-scale readings of 0–250 feet of seawater (FSW) and 0–76 meters of seawater (MSW). Gauge dials have a mirror band with 1 ft. marked increments for accurate readings.
