The Amron International AMCOMMAND™ II Two Diver Air Control system is a portable, self-contained complete dive system which includes, Air Control, Depth Monitoring, and Communications.
It is a central control point for the supplying the divers breathing air while monitoring their depth. A built-in LP alarm will activate an audio alarm if the divers' air pressure falls below a preset limit.
The system is housed in a rugged case constructed of pressure fused fiberglass that provides a convenient, compact, and professional system designed for years of reliable operation.
Easy set-up with high pressure air sources or low pressure air, which greatly extends search and rescue diving capabilities. To use the Amron AMCOMMAND™ II with 4500 PSIG inlet air supply, simply change the yoke assembly with the Sherwood HAS-300D DIN Adapter 300 Bar.
The system comes standard with the field proven AMCOM II Series Communicator and is a full-featured hard-wired two-diver communicator with independent microphone and earphone volume controls for the tender and each diver. The communicator can operate in both 4-wire (full duplex), or 2-wire modes. The communicator has a built-in internal charger and can be operated from either a 90-264 VAC, internal 12 VDC battery, or an external 12 VDC power source.
Optional Models include:
Model 8225-02 has all the features of the model 8225-01 but includes our heating option to reduce the risk of icing in cold climates.
Model 8225-03 has all the features of the model 8225-01 but includes our Wireless Tender Option providing the tender with the freedom to move around the dive site while staying in constant communication with the divers.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THE AMRON 8225-01 FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- Mixed gas diving operations with an oxygen level greater than 25%.
- Oxygen or oxygen enriched breathing mixtures above 25%.
FAQ's
70 lbs (31.75 kg)
Yes, but we do not recommend using oxygen enriched breathing mixures above 40%.
No, the high pressure regulators are not independently routed and they share a common air manifold.
Yes, an inspection report is included with each unit. The pneumo gauges come with a calibration certificate and sticker.
The gauges supplied with this unit are dual scale in both feet and meters of seawater.
If the unit is plugged into a live outlet and turning on the switch does not cause the AC POWER LED to light up, then the fuse(s) are probably blown. Unplug the unit from the outlet, remove the fuses and check continuity with a multimeter. Replace any fuse that does not show continuity.
When operating your Amron Diver Communicator on AC, it is critical to use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or isolation transformer for tender and diver safety. Surges and spikes are common on AC lines found on ships, generated locally, or at the end of long extension cable runs and can exceed 1kVolt. Such surges and spikes can cause the fuse to blow on the amplifier card assembly. The power supply is designed so that such a failure will be isolated and will not cause a safety issue to the tender or divers. It is strongly advised that your Amron Diver Communicator be operated on an AC circuit with a high quality surge arrester or an AC isolation transformer.
