The Amron International AMCOMMAND™ I One-Diver Air Control with Heating Element, Depth Monitoring, and Communication System is a portable, self-contained, one diver complete commercial dive system. This air control system can be operated in temperatures below 45 degrees and provides all of the operations necessary to monitor and control the commercial diving operation.
It is a central control point for the supply of breathing air to a commercial diver. This Amron system monitors the diver’s depth, and provides superior hardwire communication for the diver and topside personnel. The system is housed in compact, rugged and professional package designed for years of reliable operation.
Easy set-up with high pressure air sources or low pressure air, which greatly extends search and rescue diving capabilities. To use the Amron AMCOMMAND™ I with 4500 PSIG inlet air supply, simply change the yoke assembly with the Sherwood HAS-300D DIN Adapter 300 Bar.
The AMCOMMAND™ I One-Diver Air Control System comes standard with the Model 2810E-03 communicator and operates in both 4-wire (full duplex), or 2-wire modes. The unit has 20 watts of audio power with state-of-the-art electronics. The unit can operate in either 90-264 VAC, 50-60 Hz or from a 12 VDC Rechargeable Battery.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THE AMRON 8111-02 FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- Mixed gas diving operations with an oxygen level greater than 25%.
- Oxygen or oxygen enriched breathing mixtures above 25%.
The Amron International Model 8111-02 One-Diver Air Control Surface Command Unit (SCU) is a compact, portable and affordable one-diver Surface Command Unit that includes a field-proven 2810E-03 AMCOM™ I One-Diver Communicator. This Surface Command Unit is a self-contained high/low pressure air control and depth monitoring (pneumo) system for surface supplied commercial diving operations, and with the included heating element it can be used in temperatures below 45 degrees F.
Easy set-up of high pressure (up to 3000 PSI) or low pressure air (up to 285 PSI) enhances search and rescue diving capabilities. To use the 8111-02 with a 4500 PSI inlet air supply, simply change the yoke assembly to the optional SAA-5300 DIN Adapter 300 Bar.
The system comes standard with the field proven 2810E-03 AMCOM™ I One-Diver Communicator that is a full-featured communicator with independent microphone and earphone volume controls for the tender and diver. It can be operated in either 2-Wire or Full Duplex (4-Wire) communication modes. The communicator has a built-in internal charger and can be operated using a 90-264 VAC, internal 12 VDC battery, or an external 12 VDC power source. Audio input jacks on the front panel (2x RCA) are provided to connect external audio for diver entertainment (when using 4-wire, full-duplex mode comms). A tape recording jack (RCA) is also included on the front panel.
The 8111-02 includes an 18-foot heating cable for diving in air temperatures below 45 degrees F. The heating cable is wrapped around the HP input and regulator section, behind the front panel. The standard plug connects to 120 VAC and is located on the front panel. For added safety, an inline GFCI adapter is included.
The 8111-02 is manufactured with Amron’s high quality standards and over 40 years of experience in the diving industry. Ideal for the inland diver, but rugged enough for the offshore diver, the 8111-02 is a great Surface Command Unit for either application.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THE AMRON 8111-02 FOR THE FOLLOWING
- Mixed gas diving operations with an oxygen level greater than 25%.
- Oxygen or oxygen enriched breathing mixtures above 25%.
FAQ's
You will need to remove the yoke assembly from the bleed assembly from the high pressure supply connections. To remove the yoke assembly, you simply loosen and remove the large nut located next to yoke bleed screw. Once removed you will need to install your 300 Bar DIN adapter part number HAS-300D.
When operating your Amron Diver Communicator on AC, it is critical to use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or isolation transformer for tender and diver safety. Surges and spikes are common on AC lines found on ships, generated locally, or at the end of long extension cable runs and can exceed 1kVolt. Such surges and spikes can cause the fuse to blow on the amplifier card assembly. The power supply is designed so that such a failure will be isolated and will not cause a safety issue to the tender or divers. It is strongly advised that your Amron Diver Communicator be operated on an AC circuit with a high quality surge arrester or an AC isolation transformer.
