Amron Compact Two-Diver Surface Command Unit (SCU) Air Control System with Low Pressure Alarm

$11,250.00
Eligible for Free Shipping Over $125

The Amron International Model 8211-03 Compact Two Diver Air Control Surface Command Unit (SCU) with Low Pressure Alarm is ergonomically designed with the customer in mind. The 8211-03 is a compact, portable and affordable 2-diver Surface Command Unit that uses the high quality 2825A-07 AMCOM™ II 2-Diver Deluxe Communicator.

This Surface Command Unit is a self-contained high and low pressure air control and depth monitoring (pneumo) system for surface supplied commercial diving operations.

Easy set-up of high pressure or low pressure air sources greatly extends search and rescue diving capabilities. To use the Amron AMCOMMAND™ II with 4500 PSIG inlet air supply, simply change the yoke assembly to the SAA-5300 DIN Adapter 300 Bar.

The system comes standard with the field proven 2825A-07 AMCOM™ II 2-Diver Deluxe Communicator that is a full-featured, hard-wired two-diver communicator with independent microphone and earphone volume controls for the tender and each diver. It can be operated in both 2-Wire and/or Full Duplex (4-Wire) communication modes. Different modes can be used simultaneously. The communicator has a built-in internal charger and can be operated using a 90-264 VAC, internal 12 VDC battery, or an external 12 VDC power source.

The air control system also comes standard with a low-pressure alarm that alerts the tender or dive supervisor with a 90 dB, 2900 Hz pulsing tone when the regulated supply air pressure to the divers decreases below 100 PSI.

It is manufactured with Amron’s high quality standards and over 40 years of experience in the diving industry. Ideal for the inland diver, but rugged enough for the offshore diver, the 8211-03 is a great Surface Command Unit for either application.

WARNING: DO NOT USE THE AMRON 8211-03 FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • Mixed gas diving operations with an oxygen level greater than 25%.
  • Oxygen or oxygen enriched breathing mixtures above 25%.

SPECIFICATIONS:

High Pressure Side:

  • High pressure air inputs include two color-coded (red & blue) SCUBA bottle yokes with six-foot air hose whips.
  • Standard 3000 PSI MAX input when using CGA850 yokes. Optional 4500 PSI MAX input using 300 Bar DIN Adapters, P/N: SAA-5300.
  • Each input has a 0-6000 PSIG gauge and shut-off valve to monitor and switch from one high pressure air source to the other.
  • The added safety feature of check valves provides protection against back flow of air from a full tank into an empty tank when switching high pressure air tanks.
  • High pressure air is reduced to low pressure via a pressure reducing regulator with a pre-regulator, in-line, 50 micron filter. A 0-600 PSIG gauge monitors the output pressure.
  • A relief valve (factory set at 285 PSI) prevents over pressurization.

Low Pressure Side:

  • An input check valve permits simple switching to back-up high pressure air in the event of low pressure air failure. Back-up high pressure air supply can simply be turned on.
  • Divers air hose connections are O2 fittings, controlled by quarter-turn ball valves permitting unrestricted flow. Note: O2 fittings can be converted to JIC upon request.
  • The LP input with safety check valve has a #6 JIC fitting and is protected from over pressurization by an over-pressure relief valve set at 285 PSI.
  • A low pressure alarm alerts the tender or dive supervisor with a 90 dB, 2900 Hz pulsing tone when the regulated supply air pressure to the divers decreases below 100 PSI.

Pneumo (Depth Monitoring) System:

  • At the heart of the pneumo system are two 4.5 inch precision gauges with 0.25% of full scale accuracy and dual scale readings of 0-250 feet of seawater (FSW) / 0-76 meters of seawater (MSW). The gauge dials have a glare free face, a mirror band, and clearly marked one foot increments for fast, accurate readings.
  • Regulating Valve, KEL-F Seat: (2) with O2 Fitting Chrome Plated Brass.

Hardwire Communications:

  • The 8211-03 comes standard with a field-proven 2825A-07 AMCOM™ II 2-Diver Deluxe Communicator.
  • This is a full-featured, hard-wired communicator with independent microphone and earphone volume controls for the tender and each diver.
  • The communicator has a built-in internal charger and can be operated using a 90-264 VAC, internal 12 VDC battery, or an external 12 VDC power source.
  • It can be operated in both 2-Wire and/or Full Duplex (4-Wire) communication modes. Different modes can be used simultaneously.
  • The communicator comes standard with Microphone Auto Detection that identifies the type of microphone each diver is using to automatically adjust for optimum performance. It can operate with any combination of both dynamic and pre-amplified microphones.
  • The communicator comes with Amron’s standard 2405-28 handheld, push-to-talk microphone.
  • Panel: Black Powder Coat over Stainless Steel with White Silkscreen Graphics

Advanced Communicator Features:

  • Ultra-low noise circuit combined with noise suppression circuitry produces crystal clear speech. Automatic gain adjustment will guard audio signal from distortion and enhance speaker protection and audio quality, increasing the bandwidth 47%.
  • The audio amplifier card employs a state-of-the-art, Class-D digital audio power amplifier. It has very low power dissipation, produces less heat, and extends battery life up to 32%.
  • The audio amplifier card has adjustable gain settings to accommodate different communication applications and environments.
  • EMI reduction is achieved through spread-spectrum and de-phase control techniques providing for optimum integration with diving systems.
  • The built-in internal charger allows for simultaneous charging and operation of the unit while protecting the rechargeable battery from being overcharged. Automatically supplies power to the audio amplifier when AC power is disconnected to allow for continued operation.
