Information

The Amron BP-44MM is a fully submersible communications assembly for use with Interspiro AGA masks. This waterproof assembly consists of an Amron 1406-2 bone conducting transducer earphone, a 4-pin male RMG-4-MP umbilical connector, and a right-angle waterproof Amp connector.

The included earphone is an Amron 1406-2 submersible bone phone that’s a solid-molded, waterproof earphone containing a sensitive bone-conducting transducer that provides clear diver communications. It can be held in place behind your ear or on your temple with a diving hood or headband. When paired with an Amron communicator, this waterproof earphone offers superior sound quality and durability. This same earphone is also integrated with other Amron comm sets.

A 4-pin male RMG-4-MP Marsh Marine connector is provided for mating with the female RMG-4-FS connectors used on most umbilical communications cables. This is a neoprene molded connector with gold plated contacts and an 18 AWG SJOOW cable rated to 300 VDC.

The waterproof right-angle Amp connector is used to connect to various microphone assemblies like Amron’s AMCOM MK 20 Pre-Amplified Microphone Part No. 190-1000-02 that can be installed in an Interspiro AGA mask.

Amron’s BP-44MM is approved for military use and is listed on the U.S. Navy ANU list. Other configurations of communications assemblies that use the 1406-2 bone phone are also available.
