The AMCOM™ III Three-Diver Deluxe Rack Mount Communicator is now available with Inhalation Noise Reduction (INR).

The all new INR module utilizes Amron's latest digital technology to reduce and even eliminate diver inhalation noise at the discretion of the tender via individual INR adjustment controls and LED indicators located on the front panel. The INR LED indicators illuminate when the INR function is actively removing diver inhalation noise.

This newest version of the AMCOM™ III has the same versatile user-interface, rugged durability and great sound quality as its predecessor with separate channels and volume controls for all divers and the tender so uplink and downlink paths can be customized for various equipment configurations and individual comfort levels in addition to: (1) Inhalation Noise Reduction (INR); (2) Higher Audio Fidelity; (3) Automatic Gain Adjustment; (4) Extended Battery Life; (5) Flexible Gain Settings; (6) Ultra-Low Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)

The AMCOM™ III 2830R-08 Three-Diver Rack Mount Communicator with Inhalation Noise Reduction (INR) utilizes Amron's latest INR digital technology to reduce and even eliminate diver inhalation noise. With individual INR adjustment controls and LED indicators for each diver located on the front panel, the tender can adjust the amount of noise reduction for each diver. The INR LED indicators illuminate when the INR function is actively removing diver inhalation noise. The INR feature requires operating in Full Duplex (4-Wire) only.

The 2830R-08 is a full-featured communicator with individual volume controls for each diver and a separate volume control for the tender. The 2830R-08 supports both 2-wire and 4-wire (full duplex) modes. Both modes can be used at the same time for different divers.

All Amron rack mount communicators are designed for integration into a standard 19-inch equipment rack and all necessary connections can be made via the front panel jacks or rear mounted MS connector. The rear MS connector allows for the installation of a separate, remote tender station located away from the rack.

The tender can use the 2830R-08 communicator with the built-in panel microphone and speaker, an optional hand-held, push-to-talk microphone, or an optional headset plugged directly into the front panel or into an optional walk and talk module for extra mobility. For the best user audio performance, use a headset for high quality, full duplex communications. All tender comms connections are made using dual banana jacks.

Diver comm cables can be connected using the earphone and microphone dual banana jack binding posts on the front panel, or through the MS connector on the back of the unit. The binding posts are labeled to indicate how to connect when using 2-wire or 4-wire comms. 2-wire or 4-wire connections can be used by either diver simultaneously.

Only Amron’s AMCOM™ series communicators offer Microphone Auto Detection that automatically identifies the type of microphone each diver is using and dynamically adjusts for optimum performance. This Amron exclusive feature makes it possible to use either dynamic or pre-amplified microphones in either 2-wire or 4-wire modes and ensures high audio quality regardless of the microphone type used.

To interface with other products used to monitor and record dive operations, an audio output tape recorder jack (RCA) is provided on the rear panel. All communications between the tender and divers are output to the jack.

Additional Audio In and Audio Out jacks (RCA) are also provided on the rear panel. Audio In may be connected to Audio Out of another Amron rack mount communicator for redundancy requirements or to double the number of users. The Audio In and Audio Out jacks can also be connected to audio playback or recording devices, cell phones, wireless tender devices, etc.

The 2830R-08 comes with an internal charger and can be operated using 90-264 VAC external power, the internal 12 VDC sealed lead acid battery, or an external 12 VDC power source plugged into the front panel power jacks. The front panel has a battery condition LED and an AC power LED.

This newest version of the AMCOM™ III has the same versatile user-interface, rugged durability, and great sound quality as older models but with new enhancements: (1) High-Audio Fidelity; (2) Extended Battery Operation; (3) Flexible Gain Settings; (4) Ultra-Low Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and; (5) Inhalation Noise Reduction.
