FEATURES

• Separate channels and volume controls for each diver and the tender allow individual earphone and microphone adjustments, equipment variations and comfort levels.

• Diver umbilical connections on the front panel are 5-pin MS (Military Standard) connections.

• Support for 4-wire mode (full duplex) or 2-wire mode (push-to-talk) or any combination of the modes for any of the diver circuits.

• Use dynamic or pre-amplified diver microphones – a unique circuit detects microphone type and automatically adjusts volume levels.

• Weatherproof push-to-talk microphone for better tender voice intelligibility. For optimum clarity, see Tech Note (below) for other recommended equipment.

• Internal charger allows for simultaneous charging and operation of the unit while protecting the rechargeable battery from being over-charged. Automatically supplies power to the audio amplifier when AC power is disconnected to allow for continued operation.

• Ultra-low EMI emissions provide for interference-free integration with other diving systems.

• Weather resistant IP65 rated AC power module accommodates country-specific, IP54 rated V-Lock AC power cords, selected by the customer at time of order. Additional power cords can be ordered separately.

TECH NOTE

• All communicators will inherently transfer topside noise to the divers when the tender speaks directly into the communicator Panel Mic. To reduce topside background noise, use the optional 2405NC-28 Noise Cancelling Hand Held Push-to-Talk Microphone.

• For high performance comms and exceptional audio clarity, use Amron’s pre-amplified microphones that are offered in configurations supporting Kirby Morgan helmets and bandmasks (190-1000-01 Pre-Amp Mic for KM) or Interspiro AGA masks (190-1000-02 MK 20 Pre-Amp Mic for AGA). For Interspiro AGA masks, Amron also offers complete comm sets such as the BP-44MM-03 and 1406A-03, both of which include Amron’s fully submersible, waterproof bone conducting earphone and the 190-1000-02 MK 20 pre-amplified microphone connected to an RMG-4-MP cable.

• As an option, for tethered tender mobility, the 2401-28 Deluxe Headset with Boom Mic can be purchased along with the 2822-28 Remote Walk-and-Talk (4-wire mode) or the 2821-28 Remote Walk-and-Talk (2-wire mode).
