The Stanley Hydraulic Underwater Sinker Drill SK58 is designed to be used by commercial divers for underwater heavy-duty utility construction, blast hole drilling, and dowel drilling. The Stanley Hydraulic Underwater Sinker Drill SK58 is available for underwater use but can be used on land as well.

The Stanley Hydraulic Underwater Sinker Drill SK58 comes with hose whips and an air hose whip with a 3/8 in. quarter turn valve. Quick disconnect couplers are sold separately.

The Stanley Hydraulic Underwater Sinker Drill SK58 uses air flushing to clear holes of debris. The Stanley Hydraulic Underwater Sinker Drill SK58 features an easy start feathering trigger and a direct drive rotation motor for reliable service and fast and easy starting.

The rotation is independent of impact rate and is adjustable between 0 and 300 rpm. The Stanley Hydraulic Underwater Sinker Drill SK58 can drill up to a 3 in. (75 mm) diameter hole up to 20 ft. (6 m) deep.

The STANLEY® SK58 Sinker Drills are powerful hydraulic tools designed for blast hole drilling, gas leak detection, and dowel hole applications. Depending on the model, they use air or water flushing to clear debris and feature a feathering trigger for precise starts with adjustable speeds up to 300 RPM. The SK47 can drill holes up to 2 inches in diameter and 10 feet deep, while the SK58 handles holes up to 3 inches in diameter and 20 feet deep, making them ideal for heavy-duty utility and construction work.

The STANLEY SK58 Sinker Drill is a heavy duty rock drill designed for drilling underwater in concrete, rock, and masonry. The feathering on/off valve makes
starting the drill bit easy. The SK58 uses industry standard drill steels and can drill up to a 3 in. (75 mm) diameter hole up to 20 ft. (6 m) deep. The direct drive rotation motor drives the 1 in. x 4¼ in. hex shank drill steel and is adjustable between 0 and 300 rpm. Air is required to clear holes of debris. Painted hi-visibility yellow.

When hydraulic hose exceeds 100 ft. (30.4 m) in length, increase I.D. of both pressure and return hose. For more information, consult STANLEY Infrastructure.

FAQ's
What is the recommended air pressure to operate the air flushing feature on my SK58 Sinker Drill?

The minimum recommended air pressure is 75 PSI at 15 CFM. As the diver descends you will have to increase your psi to compensate for bottom pressure. Maximum operating pressure at the tool is 120 psi at 30 cfm.

Is it possible to order the SK58310 with a 7/8" neck rather then a 1" neck?

The SK8310 can not be ordered with the 7/8" neck. However, you can order the 7/8" neck as a spare part and make the change yourself if you have a trained technician on staff. The main disadvantage to going this route is the 7/8" neck part number 5195 is made of steel and will rust.

Will my tool operate if I use a lower flow rate than what would be considered optimum for the tool to operate?
Yes, most tools have an optimal flow range, as long as the gallons per minute delivered to the tool is within this range the tool will work. However, please be award that the tool will run at a slower speed based on the flow rated delivered to the tool. Basically, the lower the gallons per minute the slower the tool will run.
Do any of the Stanley hydraulic tools ship full of hydraulic oil?
No, but the factory normally will leave a little fluid inside the tool to help lubricate the internal components during storage.
What is the maximum depth I can operate my SK58 Hydraulic Sinker Drill?
The maximum depth limit is 500 feet. A stock tool is able to operate at 100 feet without any modification. However, beyond the first 100 feet, for every additional 100 feet of water, the tool requires you to increase the accumulator PSI by an additional 40 PSI. The accumulator is pressurized to 600 psi standard.
