Zinc anodes are designed to minimize the corrosive effects of saltwater exposure and to help combat electrolysis when cutting/burning and welding. The Kirby Morgan 525-375 Anode Kit for all Kirby Morgan Stainless Steel Dive Helmets (37SS, 77, 97) replaces anodes when deterioration interferes with proper fitting or when anodes become loose fitting. Do not paint or coat zincs as this will negate the anode's functionality. Ensure good metal to metal contact when installing the kit and for the duration of the anode kit's implementation, failure to do so will render the kit ineffective.
