Anode kits are designed to minimize and reduce the corrosive effects of salt water exposure and to help combat electrolysis when cutting and welding.
The Kirby Morgan 525-376 SL-17A/B and SL-17C Anode Kit contains the parts necessary to replace the anodes on the SL-17A/B and SL-17C helmets.
Replace anodes when deterioration interferes with proper fitting or when anodes become loose fitting. Do not paint or coat zincs as this will negate the anode's functionality. Ensure good metal to metal contact when installing the kit and for the duration of the anode kit's implementation, and failure to do so will render the kit ineffective.
