Effective 2026, the chromed brass 560-074 Bottom Ring will be made from 316L stainless steel and supplied on all future production of the Kirby Morgan helmets, EXCEPT the SL-17B.
The stainless-steel standard bottom ring for fiberglass helmets incorporates two additional features
The removable swing catch assembly enables simple service and replacement away from the helmet.
A stainless-steel lock nut, P/N: 530-307, secures the mounting screw of the sealed pull pin.
