The new Analox SDA O2 Monitor will offer users the latest digital technology in commercial diving gas detection.
The Analox SDA series is a range of fixed external chamber analyzers used to control levels of gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide. The new products are designed to be more easily configured to meet the users’ needs, with interchangeable sensors and software.
The Analox SDA O2 is available in either panel or rack mount format.

Analox’s comprehensive range of diving analyzers with options for: oxygen (O2), carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), helium (He), Depth and Temperature and Humidity designed specifically for decompression chambers, diving bells and diver gas delivery. The SDA range was designed for gas detection with commercial diving in mind.
The monitor provides a full-color display of the oxygen (O2) reading taken from an electrochemical sensor. The alarm set points and calibration can be achieved using the front panel user interface. The SDA O2 provides audio/visual alarms, optional data-logging and 4-20mA/relay outputs. The monitor interfaces with Analox's state-of-the-art digital MEC sensor.
The SDA O2 oxygen monitor replaces the now obsolete Analox 1000 and is fully retrofittable as a direct replacement.
Maintaining a comfortable and safe chamber environment is vital to achieving a successful diving operation. The accuracies supplied by the SDA O2 are compliant with DNV, IMCA, Lloyds, ABS, and ADCi requirements/guidelines.
The SDA O2 is normally located in sat/dive control and the sensors can be either located at the panel or inside the chamber or diving bell.
Analox offers an optional flow panel to go alongside the SDA O2, which provides fine control after the sample has been reduced from the chamber. Both the SDA O2 and the optional flow panel can be provided as either rack or panel mount.
Its flexibility is what makes it such a good product as it can suit a wide range of requirements each customer may present. There are a multitude of sensors, alarms and strobes you can attach to one CDU (central display unit). Included in this expansive set up choices are optional add ons, such as a beacon, a Kiosk set up and a DOM (Data output module).
FAQ's
The SDA has a very intuitive rotary encoder dial, this coupled with the familiar retro toggle switches and appropriate zero and span gases will mean that these analyzers are easier to calibrate than others you may have used.
The SDA does not offer a battery back up option as the vast majority of diving systems now have un-interrupted power supply.
Not at all – each SDA is configured for 24VDC power as standard but you can purchase an Analox 24VDC mains power supply which is capable of powering 2 SDA modules and their accessories.
Yes, the SDA comply with DNVs offshore standard E402 and IMCA guidelines in that they comply with the accuracy and feature requirements.
No, the O2 sensors used with the SDA are new and intelligent sensors which will signal when they need calibrating and changing. They also have the added benefit of having the ability to be positioned as far away from the monitor as you wish; unlike current analogue systems.
Yes. The SDA O2 will fit directly into the existing panel space.
If your current 5001 CO2 unit is a combined panel mount you will also need the “5001 Compatibility Plate” to mount the SDA rack monitor and CO2 module. If your current 5001 CO2 unit is a combined rack mount, the SDA will fit direct.
No.
Yes – this option is on the basic on screen menu accessed with the buttons on the monitor itself.
Yes. During the development phase of the SDA, customer feedback suggested a solution for monitoring flow to the O2 analyzers was required. This new flow meter panel now offers this in an easy to install unit which will compliment the analyzers in your panel.
