Prevents premature wear over the LP seat when the sharp edge of a crown pushes in.
This Sherwood exclusive design does not exert constant pressure over the LP seat when the regulator gets depressurized and is not in use compared to other regulators on the market that use a threadable crown or orifice that seats in one position permanently, causing a constant force over the LP seat which sometimes marks it to the point where it is no longer effective.

The SR3 is the only Flow Through Piston Regulator that is both environmentally sealed and internally dry, and offers a depth compensation mechanism. Sherwood’s Three Pin Link (3PL) transfers the environmental pressure to the piston and provides consistent flow at any depth.
The SR3 provides superior breathing performance, which only a few regulators in the world achieve. Less than 0.65 joules/liter of WOB at 50 msw (165 fsw) & 625. l/m RMV.
