Do Perma-Cal gauges conform to any standard and do they come with any certs?

Yes, Perma-Cal gauges conform to ASME B40.1 and come with a calibration cert traceable to NIST.

I will be using my gauge inside a submarine and would like to know if I can expose my gauge to seawater to give me a depth reading?

Yes, you can expose the internal components to seawater but you will reduce the gauge life expectancy. However, if you order your gauge with Nicrobraze, the life of the gauge will be extended by several years.

What is Nicrobraze?

Nicrobraze is a type of filler metal used during the brazing process. Nicrobraze is more corrosion resistant compared to standard silver solder so when a gauge is going to be used in a corrosive environment, the manufacturer recommends switching over to this type of soldering material.
