The stainless steel ruggedness, the smooth, easy breathing performance and simple maintenance of the Kirby Morgan 455 Regulator are no longer limited to the KM 97 Helmet only! With this conversion kit (P/N: 525-765), the 455 regulator (P/N: 505-455 - the regulator of the KM 97 helmet) can now be fitted to both 18/28 BandMasks® and to the KM 37, KM 57, SL 27*, SL 17C, SL 17K and the KM 37SS. The conversion kit includes the 455 regulator along with tie wraps, an installation guide and warranty card.

Maintenance and Repair Bulletin #8 November 8, 2025 Recommended attention is advised for all 455 Balanced Regulators. Whether not in service or actively used in dive operations, all 455 regulators should be inspected. However, a new 455 from the factory that has NOT been disassembled does not need to be inspected. Note: The 455 Balanced Regulator Conversion Kit will not fit on the KMB 18 made prior to 1999 and the KMB 28 made prior to 2004. Masks made prior to these dates have a 7/8 in. regulator hole, the 455 Balanced Regulator requires a 1 in. hole.

The stainless steel ruggedness, the smooth, easy breathing performance and simple maintenance of the Kirby Morgan 455 regulator are no longer limited to the KM 97 helmet only. With this conversion kit (P/N: 525-765), the 455 regulator (P/N: 505-455 - the regulator of the KM 97 helmet) can be fitted to both 18/28 BandMasks® and to the KM 37, KM 57, SL 27*, SL 17C, SL 17K and the KM 37SS. The 455 Balanced regulator is a downstream balanced poppet design and is featured on the KM 97 Helmet. Like the SuperFlow® 350, the 455 balanced has a multi turn bias adjustment, allowing the diver to compensate for variations in supply pressure and changes in physical attitude.
The regulator body is made of 316 stainless steel, as are all of its other metal components. The 455 balanced regulator is designed and engineered to be rugged, long-lasting and easy to disassemble for simple, fast, cleaning and servicing.
Notes
- *The SuperLite® 27 Helmet requires a small scale fiberglass modification in order to accept the 455 Regulator. Therefore, the 455 will be available for installation on the SL 27.
- Kit 525-765 serves as a replacement for any existing 455 regulators because the 455 regulator (505–455) will not be sold separately.
