Now with its large, brightly colored display; the Cygnus DIVE provides clear viewing from all angles for divers and their cameras, even in poor visibility. This robust, wrist-mountable, underwater, ultrasonic, metal thickness gauge has been designed for the professional diver and can be worn on the forearm, providing an invaluable free hand while performing metal thickness measurement surveys underwater. As with all Cygnus products, the DIVE Underwater Thickness Gauge has been designed for easy operation, and with only two buttons to operate, provides quick and easy menu navigation using just one hand.
Rated to a depth of 300 meters, the DIVE delivers accurate meter readings, is reliable and simple to use. Topside Repeater can also overlay the real-time thickness measurement on to a composite video signal, displaying it on the monitor screen / video recording of the survey.
The Multiple Echo technique is at the heart of the electronics and ensures coatings up to 20mm thick are ignored and that measurements are automatically verified. The DIVE can measure through corrosion and through coatings up to 20mm thick (when in ‘Deep-Coat’ mode) using the Single Crystal Probe Option. The introduction of Twin Crystal Probe Option for use with the gauge in single-echo mode offers flexibility for specific situations where there are no protective coatings. These applications include uncoated surfaces with extreme front and back wall corrosion, anchor chain links and highly attentive materials such as cast iron.
The new CygLink v4 software offers a wide range of options for recording and displaying measurements. On-Board Data Logging Capability adds data logging capability to the gauge, supplied with CygLink software for data transfer and measurements can be recorded in either a linear or grid format.
Providing an invaluable free hand while performing underwater ultrasonic thickness measurement, the Cygnus DIVE is a robust, wrist-mountable ultrasonic underwater thickness meter with a large, bright display with live A-scan making it easily viewable by both the diver and camera - even in the poorest visibility.
The Cygnus DIVE, depth rated to 300 meters, is accurate, reliable and easy to use. The Cygnus DIVE is worn on the diver's forearm, availing an invaluable free hand while performing the thickness survey. A large, very bright color AMOLED display shows the thickness measurements in big numbers along with a live A-scan for verification. Power is supplied by a replaceable, rechargeable, Lithium-Ion battery pack that gives up to 11 hours continuous measurement.
The ultrasonic probe is connected by a coiled double jacket cable and rugged locking connector. Now with the option of Single Echo and Echo-Echo Modes for use with a Twin Crystal Probe, ideal for use on extremely heavy corrosion & anchor chain. Single Echo is for use on uncoated surfaces, and Echo-Echo for use through paint up to 0.5 mm thick.
An optional data logging feature is available for storing up to 5000 measurements and A-Scans. CygLink provides surface computer-based viewing and data logging. The Topside Repeater unit with Video On-Screen Display option allows the thickness measurements to be overlaid onto the monitor screen / video recording of the survey. HelmetView™ provides a helmet-mounted remote display of thickness measurements.
