The Broco large brass collet nut is knurled to assure the diver of a solid grasp and acme threads prevent binding from mud or other debris insuring quick reliable underwater welding and cutting rod insertion and retention. Interchangeable collets accommodate various diameter underwater cutting rods, and use of available underwater welding collets allows the Broco BR-22 Underwater Cutting Torch to be used as an underwater welding electrode stinger.
