The Broco® MINI-TAC was developed at the request of the U. S. Army. It is also used by the F.B.I. Hostage Rescue Team and other special units including the London Fire Brigade and Australian Navy. It is the smallest, most portable exothermic torch kit on the market today. The MINI-TAC is used in situations when the operator must make a small number of strategic cuts to enable him to complete his objective.

The MINI-TAC contains two lightweight composite oxygen cylinders, oxygen regulator, torch, auxiliary oxygen hose, fanny-pack, leather shield, protective gloves, safety glasses, packet of 1/4" diameter cutting rods, collets to fit 3/16", 1/4", and 3/8" cutting rods and a foamed Pelican case.

NOTE: The MINI-TAC is recommended only for those units with access to an oxygen booster pump or oxygen shop with 3000 psi fill capabilities. Many commercial oxygen suppliers will not fill 3000 psi composite oxygen cylinders.

If the battery is left sitting on the shelf without any charging intervals, the battery will go bad in about a year. If the battery is left sitting on the shelf and it’s charged every 2 months, the typical shelf life is about 3 years.
