Every member of the team, not just SWAT entry guys, should carry a 'Jimmy'™. Made from heat-treated hardened steel with high-density foam under a wrapped cord grip for comfort, Broco's 'Jimmy'™ has a striking surface at the back end and a lanyard attaching loop. This type tactical pry bar was innovated by NYPD ESU entry experts who identified the need for an easily carried multi-purpose tool to assist with forced entry of buildings, rooms and locked furnishings.
Uses of the 'Jimmy'™ include: prying interior doors, forcing windows and transoms, breaking glass, lifting flanges, propping doors, levering bus windows, punching holes through interior walls and so on. Get under the flange of a security door to make setting a Halligan easier. 'Jimmy'™ is only 10.5 in long and weighs less than 1/2 lb. It also slides into the Molle on a vest for easy carrying. This personal pry bar is easy to carry and use, has the 'right size' comfort grip, an angled tip for more leverage and control, a lanyard loop, heat-treated hardened steel, and has been tested to 400 lbs. Don’t break any more knives, use the tool designed for prying.
Easy to carry and easy to use, the Broco ‘Jimmy’ Tactical Pry Bar is 10.5 in. long and weighs less than 8 ounces. It is made from heat-treated hardened steel and can withstand more than 400 lbs. of force without bending or breaking the handle. The grip is cord-wrapped over high density foam for comfort and dexterity. Easily slides into the Molle of an operator’s vest.
The Jimmy is ideal for creating that first gap in a security door or gate to make way for a Broco UBT, Halligan or other entry tool, and maintain the gap as a wedge when other tools need to be reset.
