The Amron Inline Pressure Limiting Valve (ALV) Gauge Protector is designed to protect sensitive, pneumatic equipment from damage caused by over-pressurization. The ALV is a safety valve that will automatically close when the incoming pressure exceeds the adjustable, pre-set pressure limit and will automatically re-open when the incoming pressure drops back below the adjustable, pre-set pressure limit.
There are 3 different pressure ranges available in each series.
Note: Please contact your Amron Sales Representative for a list of other pressure ranges and configurations that are available.
After my set pressure is reached, at what pressure will my pressure limiting valve re-open?
The valve will re-open after the pressure has dropped roughly 10% from the set pressure.
If I own an ALV-BL-150-500, can I change the spring to make the valve an ALV-BL-500-1000?
Yes, Amron has three spring kits available; 10-150 PSI, 150-500 PSI and 500-1000 PSI. Installing any of these kits in your Amron Pressure Limiting Valve will make the valve operate at the kit’s pressure range.
Can the Amron Pressure Limiting Valve be used with thicker fluids like oil?
Yes, but a special snubber that will meet the viscosity requirement of your specific fluid would be required. Please contact your Amron Sales Representative for more information.
