  • I have what appears to be a TESCOM 26-1024-24 pressure regulator that reduces nitrogen bottle pressure (1000+ psig) down to 175 psig. Question 1: Do these regulators come with internal relief valves or do I have to supply one downstream? Question 2: S
Q1 – No, these do not have an internal relief valve, however they do have an integral vent mechanism (self-venting regulator). This allows you to adjust the regulator in a downward direction or all the way to zero psi on the outlet side of the process (in this case the 175 psig side). This feature is for convenience only and not intended to be or replace a relief valve. Q2 – Yes, the published Cv .06 is considered the wide open condition and can be used to size a relief valve.
