Most ballistic goggle designs that are even on the market right now are large, uncomfortable, and cumbersome. Their straps have to be worn over the top of a soldier's helmet so getting a good seal (crucial for protection from the elements) is nearly impossible. When questioned, members of all armed services stated they wanted a more streamlined goggle that was comfortable and didn't sit so far away from the face. Traditional goggles often give the wearer tunnel vision, limiting critical peripheral vision.
The Wiley X CQC Goggle can be worn with its strap under the helmet which greatly improves fit and comfort and can even be worn with night vision. The Wiley X CQC Goggle comes equipped with two sets (smoke and clear) of ballistic polycarbonate lenses. Each lens is 2.5mm thick and clear coated with a proprietary anti-fog solution giving the user perfect unobstructed vision. Silicone scratch resistant coating provides the best optical quality ballistic lenses available.
