    How helpful was this information?

  • My newer 2460-28 headset produces feedback when the headset is within two feet of the communicator speaker. My older 2460-28 headset doesn’t produce the same feedback when used in the same scenario. Why?
The older style headset has a 150 ohm microphone and the new style headset has a 90 ohm microphone. The 90 ohm microphone is more sensitive so the user simply needs to turn down the tender microphone volume to compensate for the change in response.
