When desert temperatures climb to uncomfortable levels, this Arc'teryx Talos Halfshell combat top excels as a practical alternative to synthetics. Designed to be worn under armor, web gear, or while carrying a pack, the lower torso and back panels are made of lightweight jersey-knit cotton. In high-wear areas like the neck, shoulder, and arms, a durable, tear-resistant cotton/ ripstop nylon blend is used. Articulated arms allow freedom of movement, while the sleeves can be rolled up and cinched into place to stay out of the way. A high mandarin collar seals out drafts and the quarter-length zipper makes layering easy. Cut long in the torso to facilitate tucking into combat pants, the Arc'teryx Talos Halfshell also has two bicep pockets for storing small items.
