The Ocean Technology Systems (OTS) Aquacom® STX-101SB is a high power surface transceiver designed to operate with the BELL 200 backup communications system. Using a heavy-duty 35 foot transducer cable, the Aquacom® STX-101SB has 70 watts of power to ensure clear communications in virtually all conditions. The Aquacom® STX-101SB is equipped with one channel, either 8.0875 kHz (USB) or 25 kHz USB — depending on whether it is the low-frequency or high-frequency version. This state-of-the-art surface station has special circuits designed to allow all listeners within hearing range, clean, clear communications from all divers within range. The Squelch is easily adjusted from the front panel. The unit comes with a hand-held microphone and a comfortable headset is available which will allow the user to listen and talk under noisy conditions. This compact, self contained system has been field proven by many dive teams around the world. A 110 watt, two-channel, rack mounted version is available as the Aquacom® STX-101SBR.

The OTS Aquacom® STX-101SBR is a rack-mounted version of their STX-101SB high power surface transceiver designed to operate with the BELL 200 backup communications system. Using a heavy-duty 35 foot transducer cable, the STX-101SBR has 110 watts of power (vs. the STX-101SB's 70 watts of power) to ensure clear communications in virtually all conditions. Additionally, the Aquacom® STX-101SBR is equipped with two channels, either 8.0875 kHz (USB) and 11 kHz (LSB), or 25 kHz USB and 32.768 kHz USB —depending on whether it is the low-frequency or high-frequency version. External 24-volt DC power is applied through a 2-pin military-style (MS) connector. The system includes a high-quality hand-held microphone and an external transducer for transmission and reception. This state-of-the-art surface station has special circuits designed to allow all listeners within hearing range, clean, clear communications from all divers within range. The Squelch is easily adjusted from the front panel. The unit comes with a hand-held microphone and a comfortable headset is available which will allow the user to listen and talk under noisy conditions. This compact, self contained system has been field proven by many dive teams around the world.

  • Will the record out function on the STX-101 pass the audio signal to a computer via a RCA cable?

    The record out function of the OTS STX-101 is designed to send an audio signal to a recording device like a VCR or Tape Recorder. We haveve never connected one to a laptop or desktop computer before but if your device has an audio input and recording software that draws its data from the audio input then it should work. You would also need to make sure you have a cable that will mate with both devices.
